✨ Back Online at Last: A Night in Space & Snow

Reuniting with friends at “Carnaval in Space” and catching a last‑minute dice roll at KoreLounge

Date: January 3, 2026 – Around 9 PM

Tonight I finally logged back into There.com after almost three weeks away. My internet situation has been a whole adventure. A few weeks ago, I still had a signal thanks to my neighbor’s Wi‑Fi (a true unsung hero), but lately I’ve had nothing at home. Tonight I was only able to connect because I was visiting my friend — and of course, the moment I had to leave her place… no more internet. It reminded me of the old Québec song: “Salut ti‑cul, on se reverra le 7 janvier.” Feels very accurate when you’re waiting for real Wi‑Fi to return.

So reconnecting tonight felt amazing. The first event I found was Carnaval in Space, hosted by Erin X0. Despite the name, the zone was a winter‑robot‑outer‑space mashup, beautifully created by greenangel, kygirl, 1mercy, and laylita. People were rolling dice for something — I never figured out what — but the vibe was fun, chaotic, and very There.com.

I also saw emodude123, the_wifey, polyphia, kiryhava, greenangel and her sister kygirl, and joykin. Some avatars were dressed as marmots, carrying tiny baby marmots wrapped in blankets. Only in There.com can you disappear for weeks and return to a full marmot daycare.

🎲 Summoned to KoreLounge

Then _synergy and br34d suddenly summoned me to KoreLounge Fun Zone to spectate a dice roll for the Buggy Time Lap. By the time I arrived, the racers and the track were already gone — everyone had moved on to other events — but I still got to witness the final draw, where bawble was crowned the winner.

🌙 Starring Night… but No Connection

Around 10 PM, the group headed to a Starring Night with the_hubby and the_wifey for a cozy PJ party. I wanted to join, but my internet dropped again — and without my friend’s connection, there was nothing I could do.

Even though my visit was short, it felt so good to see everyone again. I hope they all had a better holiday season than I did. And since I finally have a tiny bit of internet tonight, I’m taking the chance to update my blog while I can.
